This week I present a short video mini lesson in breath control, or pranayama. Pranayama is the fourth of the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga, right after asana, or postures. This is a great exercise to do right before meditation or if you're feeling anxious. It stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, so lowers blood pressure, and also increases blood oxygen, so it's great for asthmatics. Let me know if this is helpful to you.
